How to use

PERSONAL DEVOTIONAL

The Advent Personal Devotional is a 25-day study of Scriptures, devotionals, and questions that starts December 1 and ends December 25.

This devotional was created because, if we aren't careful, the Christmas season can become about everything but celebrating the coming of Jesus. This is a chance for you to walk through the whole of the Old Testament, so that your heart’s affection and mind’s attention are drawn to the coming of Jesus.

To use it, simply find a quiet time and place in your schedule every day of Advent, morning or night. When that time comes, stop what you’re doing, grab your Bible, and open the Advent Personal Devotional to that day’s reading.

Read the Scriptures and devotional, answer the questions, and record your notes and answers in a journal.

FAMILY DEVOTIONAL

The Advent Family Devotional is a 25-day study of Scriptures, devotionals, and questions that starts December 1 and ends December 25.

This devotional was created to help your whole family center around specific truths found in the Old Testament and have your hearts stirred together toward the coming of Jesus.

To use this devotional, gather your family at some point each day, morning or night, read the day’s Scripture and devotional, discuss the questions as a family, and record your answers in a journal.

The Family Devotional is crafted to fit families with children 4th grade and younger. To help your younger children connect with the teaching, click the ornament icon at the top of this page and color the day’s corresponding ornament in the Kids Ornament Book. Cut it out and hang it on your Christmas tree to help your kids remember that day’s message.
